Getting to know Paula Porterfield-Izzo

Are you trying to become the best version of yourself? Are you struggling with challenges in life or difficulties in a relationship? Or are you suffering from low self-esteem, depression, or anxiety? You are not meant to work it all out on your own or carry all that weight on your shoulders. I am an experienced Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Mental Health Counselor since 1994, holding a Master's in Counseling Psychology from the University of North Florida. I provide a professional voice of guidance and specialize in helping individuals, couples, and families navigate through the troubled waters of life. I have found much success counseling couples to improve communication and connection, and I have helped many individuals cope with difficult family, work, or personal relationships. I have also supported people as they walk through loss and grief. I provide solution-oriented therapy, teaching relaxation and mindfulness exercises to those experiencing anxiety and cognitive behavioral techniques to those experiencing depression. For persons experiencing trauma, we work together by acknowledging the past and learning how it impacts the present. My practice is open to all, regardless of religious affiliation, race, ethnicity, or disability. I offer conventional or Christian counseling in a supportive, respectful environment.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
