Getting to know Paulina Shilevsky

*Please Expect a Phone Call from our Office - Resilience Therapy - to confirm your scheduled appointment request.* So much of what we struggle with now once made perfect sense. The habits, the walls, the ways we learned to cope, they got us through something. But the thing that once protected you can start to run your life. Maybe you keep landing in the same painful spot and can't figure out why. Maybe it's anxiety, or a relationship that keeps coming apart, or an old habit that still has its hooks in you. I'm here for that. We'll trace it back together, gently, to where it started, so it can finally start to shift.

What should a new client know about working with you?

People usually come to me when "managing" stops being enough, when they're tired of treating the symptom and want to understand what's actually underneath it. I work with adults facing trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, and substance use, and I'm most at home right where those things tangle together. I'm warm, I'm honest, and I won't keep us on the surface. You'll be fully accepted here, and we'll still go deep.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Real change starts when you feel safe enough to be honest, so that's where we begin. No pressure to perform or say the right thing. As trust builds, we look at not just what's happening now but how your story still shapes it, listening to what both your mind and body are telling us. I work in English, Russian, Spanish and French, and whatever we explore, I'll follow your lead with curiosity instead of judgment.
