Payton Harrison, LCSW

Psychotherapist
PA
Hi there, I'm Payton! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master's in Social Work from The University of Oklahoma. I have experience supporting children and adolescents on their journey toward healing and personal growth. I primarily work with young individuals who may be facing challenges related to trauma, depression, anxiety, identity, and relationship conflicts. I use a compassionate, trauma-informed approach to help my clients process their emotions, navigate difficult life circumstances, build resilience, and develop healthy coping skills. My approach I use a combination of strengths-based and client-centered approaches, along with evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness to guide my clients toward positive change. In our work together, I will focus on your child or teen's strengths and help them build resilience, self-awareness, and healthy coping strategies through the use of play, talk therapy, and activities. I believe that healing is possible, and I draw from a variety of therapeutic techniques, as well as a holistic approach, to ensure that each session is empowering and effective. My focus My passion lies in working with children and adolescents from diverse backgrounds, identities, and life experiences. I am committed to providing culturally competent and inclusive care to individuals of all races, ethnicities, and personal histories. My communication style My communication style is flexible depending on the client's needs and hopes from their personal therapist. I understand that life can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially for children and teens, and I am committed to providing a safe, nonjudgmental space where they can feel heard and supported. At the same time, I prioritize building a relationship where the client can feel safe enough to explore and challenge maladaptive patterns or behaviors.
