Getting to know Peggy Thomas-Rosiek

I have been a therapist for 13 years and have worked extensively with those experiencing anger, depression, anxiety, trauma, and addictions. I earned my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Texas A&M University, Texarkana. As a US Navy veteran, I bring a unique perspective to my practice. I don't judge, and nothing you say will shock me. My biggest strength as a therapist is authenticity and developing a strong therapeutic relationship.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Being a first responder and/or a veteran breeds a sense of self-reliance and the mindset of being able to take care of anything thrown at us. I understand this mindset and commend you for reaching out. Rest assured you'll take care of this just like you take care of everything else, only this time you'll do it with more tools and knowledge to navigate the situation. What to expect over the course of therapy: During our first session, we'll conduct intake and pinpoint your most pressing concerns. We'll meet regularly, then after a while, we will adjust to you seeing me on an as-needed basis if you'd like. Just like you would see someone when you are not feeling well physically, I'd like for you to consider me as your primary care provider for mental health needs.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
