I am a licensed social worker based in Geneva, Illinois. I enjoy working with both children and adults ages 5 and up to assist them in learning skills to manage as well as resolve the problems that they may face in their life. I received my Masters of Social Work from the University of South Dakota in Sioux Falls. I enjoy continuing my education through lectures and trainings, which allow me to continue to develop my skills as a therapist. I am passionate about individualizing each treatment plan to best suit the needs of my patients, and aim to have the therapeutic experience be a collaborative environment in which the therapist and client work as a team to resolve the issues brought to the table.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I have experience working with children with a focus on emotional regulation, behavioral concerns, anger management, communication skills, social skills, as well as symptoms of anxiety and depression. My experience working with teens and adults has focused on relationship issues, substance use disorders, anxiety disorders, depression, self-esteem, stress management, and trauma recovery.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My theoretical approaches include cognitive behavioral therapy, person centered therapy, child focused therapy, play therapy techniques and interventions, dialectical behavior therapy, Narrative therapy, rational emotive behavior therapy, and motivational interviewing.
