My journey to mental healthcare My journey to therapy started with an interest in how people think. I began practice as a mentor working with “at-risk youth”. My first full-time position in the field was as a direct care provider at a community-based residential placement home for youth with intellectual disability and behavioral disorders. After receiving my undergraduate degree in Social Work, I worked as a Case Manager at in a Dual Diagnosis facility within a Day Center for the unhoused. I then practiced with children, adolescents, and their families after receiving my graduate degree in Social Work. My goals for you Treatment goals can be a process. During treatment, you will be supported in your efforts to define and determine what is successful. You are able to evolve and refine your desired outcomes. I will help you to focus and ensure that goals are specified, measurable, achievable, realistic, and time-based. My first session with you First sessions are a get-to-know-you with an introduction and perception shift about emotions.
