Getting to know Phoebe Pantaleon-Fathallah

Hello! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) offering telehealth services to individuals throughout California, Virginia, and Florida. I am the founder and clinical director of Theraperspectives Counseling, a remote telehealth private practice.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am trained in EMDR and integrate mindfulness-based and psychodynamic approaches to support clients in developing insight, emotional regulation, and meaningful change. I typically support adults navigating trauma, anxiety, neurodivergence, cultural identity, and relationship dynamics, with particular interest in working with first- and second-generation Asian American individuals, multicultural clients, and those navigating questions of identity, belonging, and family expectations. I have worked in this field since 2015 in various behavioral and mental health clinics, along with all levels of recovery treatment centers with addiction and dual diagnoses. I spend much of my free time with family and friends, dancing, reading, and traveling to new places near and far. All of which I look forward to integrating such activities, like or unlike these, within our therapy work together to better support your healing journey.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first session together, this is a time for you to share an in depth introduction to yourself and your life story while disclosing more specific challenges that you're facing today. This will allow me to have a better picture of your experiences and for us to collaborate in developing a plan to follow throughout our future sessions. I find particular effectiveness in clients who are: insight-oriented or curious about their internal world; ready to examine long-standing relational patterns; motivated to shift from survival-based coping to intentional living; and open to both reflective work and structured interventions. I am best positioned to serve individuals navigating the intersection of cultural identity, emotional healing, and relational patterns, particularly those who feel caught between different versions of themselves.
