“I first met with Phoenix on Better Help. She was so amazing, I decided to join her on her private practice. I really love how she engages with me and I'm not the only one talking. Phoenix also asks thought provoking questions, that I think about and self-reflect the week until our next session. She also provides helpful tools to use after the session and is very quick with providing those tools via email afterwards. I would highly recommend her services.”

Getting to know Phoenix Morales

I am completely out of network with all insurances and only accept self-pay. I work with clients aged 15 years and older. Hi, my name is Phoenix, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of Texas and Louisiana with over 7 years of experience providing therapy services. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Louisiana State University. I have worked with people challenged by depression, trauma, abuse, stress, anxiety, substance abuse, and life-changing situations. I approach therapy through a client-centered approach. I believe you are the expert of your life and determine the direction and depth of therapy. I also utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, motivational interviewing, strengths-based approaches, and solution-focused techniques to help clients identify their strengths and create treatment plans with obtainable goals. It is important to me to establish a safe, trusted, nonjudgmental, positive environment for my clients. My therapy style is warm and interactive, and I meet you where you are using reflective questioning to guide our sessions. You are the most important part of the therapeutic relationship, and we will work together to create a tailored treatment plan to help you reach your goals. Taking the first step to seek therapy can be intimidating and takes courage. I am proud of you for getting started, and I am excited to work together in helping you meet your therapeutic goals and reach your greatest potential.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Please complete all Intake Forms prior to your first session. Once you book your initial session, I will email you a credit card authorization form to collect your payment information. Disclaimer: I am out of network with all insurances and only accept self pay. As your therapist, I cannot fix you because you are not broken. But what I will do, is help guide you to better understand yourself by identifying your perspectives, beliefs, and thought processes that drive your behavior and impact your emotions. With that knowledge and understanding of yourself, you will be able to secure your goals and reach your potential in all areas of your life. Please note, if you are currently suicidal or have had suicidal thoughts and/or self harming behaviors within the past 2 months, please call 911 and/or contact a local, in person therapist to better assist you. Virtual therapy is not meant for crisis situations and is not the best fit for actively suicidal clients.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our sessions will be a time for you to reflect, explore, and process your emotions and thoughts. We will create a treatment plan and necessary goals for your success on your mental health journey.

I always have empowering sessions with Phoenix. She helps me dig deep into my thought process/perspective/ feelings. And I have learned so much about my nervous system and how it connects with my reactions and responses. I have grown so much since I started seeing her.
Phoenix is nonjudgmental, empathetic, always sends me therapy requested homework, provides full attention, is present to my case (remembers my stuff without reminding her), always on time for appointments, and makes sure that whatever we’re doing in therapy is relevant. Happiest I’ve been with a therapist out of 8 years on and off therapy. Highly recommend for self confidence issues, parenting struggles, marriage struggles, and overall depression.
Phoenix made me feel genuinely cared for on a personal level. I feel very comfortable talking with her and think very highly of her and her approach to therapy.
Pheonix has been so helpful in my personal growth. She is easy to talk to and always offers insightful ways to think about things. I am so thankful to have found her.
