Angie is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She holds an MA in Counseling, MS in TESOL, and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. Prior to relocating back to the United States, Angie and her family lived in Asia where she took time off teaching English to raise a family. Angie has experience working with non-English speakers and English language learners in academia and in the business field. Angie currently works with individuals and couples experiencing addiction, domestic abuse, childhood sexual trauma, depression and anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Angie also has experience with life transitions, postpartum depression, and issues surrounding racial identity. Angie’s therapy is informed by her belief that every person reflects the Imago Dei and is made to thrive within community. Angie believes that awareness can lead to agency—that clients have the ability to accept their reality and capability to choose different outcomes for themselves. Angie’s mission is to bring joy into the therapy room, using humor and hope to bring about healing change in clients. Angie uses a combination of mindfulness, CBT, DBT and attachment based therapy that is tailored to the specific needs and goals of clients.
