Hello, I'm Portia. I firmly believe that people have the power to affect the most change in their own lives. My practice and my work are dedicated to supporting you on your journey. As a clinician, I apply various techniques toward healing and provide you with practical skills to use in everyday life and situations. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a private psychotherapist. I hold degrees from Prairie View A&M University and Texas A&M University-Commerce, and I am currently ABD (all but dissertation) for an Ed.D in Higher Education Curriculum and Instruction. Additionally, I am a Certified Case Manager, a Certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, and a Certified Ho'oponopono Practitioner. My specialties include working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, spirituality, stress, and trauma. I understand that each person's journey is unique, and I am here to offer a supportive and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings.
