Getting to know Priscilla Willmott

I’m here to witness your lived in experience. I believe that who you are is a culmination of having survived the pains of life and how you learned to get love. I don't feel the need to fix you but will push you to lean into your humanity by rediscovering the parts of yourself you had to abandon to receive love. I act as a mirror for you to see yourself more clearly, to realize that love has been and is already inside of you. I work from a gestalt approach which views depression, anxiety and other mental health struggles as a natural consequence of our environment and the inability to be accepted as our true selves in the contexts we live in. My approach works from a process-oriented perspective that aims to restore and recover the parts of ourselves that were detached. My mission is to relate to you as a fellow human being. As the famous psychologist Carl Rogers stated, “When a person realizes he has been deeply heard, his eyes moisten. I think in some real sense he is weeping for joy." I hope to give you this gift.
