Qingquan Yang, LCSW

Psychotherapist
NY
Hi, I’m Alice — a bilingual (Mandarin/English) therapist helping adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected find clarity and confidence again. Whether you're navigating anxiety, burnout, cultural identity stress, or healing from past trauma, you don’t have to do it alone. I work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including first- and second-generation immigrants, LGBTQ+ folks, and high-achieving professionals who often feel pressure to "hold it all together." My style is warm, nonjudgmental, and grounded in evidence-based care. We’ll create a space where you can show up as you are and feel truly heard. I also offer therapy in Mandarin and take a culturally sensitive approach to make sure our work respects your lived experience and values. If this sounds like a good fit, I’d love to connect. I offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can talk more about your needs and how I can support you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

The mind creates the abyss, the heard crosses it. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic, and trauma-informed practices to help you make meaningful, lasting change. I often incorporate mindfulness and goal-setting to support day-to-day resilience and long-term growth.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I am currently accepting insurance and use Headway to verify your insurance information. If you would like to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation, please do one of the following: Option 1: Book directly through the Headway platform. Option 2: Book your appointment on Zocdoc. After booking, I will email you instructions on how to set up your Headway profile for insurance verification. Please note: Zocdoc does not support 15-minute phone consultations, so Headway is required for these sessions. Thank you, and I look forward to speaking with you soon!
