Getting to know Queensly Onuzulike

My name is Queensly Onuzulike, MSW, LCSW, Founder and CEO of Serenity Place Intervention Center (SPIC), PLLC. I am a North Carolina Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Grief Counseling Specialist. As a faith-based (Christian) mental health clinician, I incorporate Biblical concepts at my clients' request alongside scientifically proven, evidence-based intervention techniques, always focusing on the well-being of the individual. I understand the person-in-environment concept and take it seriously when working with my clients. I strive to help clients recognize the factors that have destabilized their mental health and to confront or change those factors to avoid setbacks and relapse. It is my firm belief that every client who walks through the doors of SPIC is special and unique. Therefore, I meet clients where they are, empowering and encouraging them to collaborate with me in creating person-centered treatment goals tailored to their individual needs. I take individual differences in motivation, self-determination, and will toward meeting treatment goals very seriously, which is why I work with each client at their chosen pace while supporting and empowering them to achieve their goals. I aim to create a safe nest where clients feel empowered, trusting, and comfortable enough to share their experiences and heal from the bruises of their past. Compassion, empathy, empowerment, and collaboration are key components of my practice style. I see the good in everyone, which helps me assist clients in recognizing the good in themselves, even if they barely believed it before walking through the doors of SPIC. I graduated from North Carolina Central University (NCCU) with both my undergraduate degree and my Master's in Social Work (Advanced Standing) in 2016 and 2017, respectively. I specialize in, but am not limited to, treating depression.
