Quintin Wise, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Quintin! I received my bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in 2002. A few years later, I decided to fulfill a lifelong dream and become a therapist. I earned my master?s degree in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University, emphasizing Marriage and Family Therapy. I have always been passionate about helping people and feel fortunate to do it for a living. I believe in the quality of my work as passionately as I believe in the potential for my clients to live joyful and fulfilling lives. I have worked in a variety of clinical fields, including the non-profit sector, where I provided individual, couples, family, and group therapy to all members of the community, regardless of what they could afford; drug and alcohol treatment facilities, providing individual, family, and group counseling for addiction and clients mandated to participate in drug- and alcohol-related parole and probation programs; behavioral therapy outpatient programs for kids ages 6?14; and private practice, working with individuals, couples, families, and groups. My approach I view therapy as a very human process, as well as a very sacred one. As your therapist, my goal is for our conversations to offer a sense of relief and perspective while helping foster healthy self-exploration and personal growth. On this journey, I often discover that specific problems recur in people's lives. These problems typically undermine the person's confidence and dampen their enjoyment of life and all of its possibilities. As your therapist, I will facilitate discussions that attempt to expose these problems, find out where they come from, and how they have affected your life. Through supportive conversations, I aim to help you gain a deeper understanding and connection to the values within yourself and the world that surrounds you. My hope is that through this process, you will find a life that is authentic and meaningful?and that you truly enjoy.
