Getting to know Rachael Hallam

Welcome to a new start!! Rachael has enjoyed working in many areas of social work including therapy for kids in foster care, case management of the SPMI population, home health and hospice, and clinical social work. She received her Bachelor's of Social Work degree from BYU and completed her MSW at the University of Utah. Her research focused on the healing effects of music on children who have experienced trauma, as well as understanding youth involved in gang violence. Rachael has since studied Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Gottman, and Nonviolent Communication (NVC) principles which she utilizes in her practice with clients. She believes therapy can become a place where you can find peace, happiness and a sense of contentment with yourself and your life. If you are willing to do the work and be honest with yourself, you can always heal!"
