I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker striving to provide a warm, caring, and down to earth atmosphere where clients feel supported, understood, and free to be themselves. Since earning my MSW in 2006, I have worked extensively with at-risk youth in both residential treatment facilities and therapeutic day program settings, as a school social worker, in the foster care system and in private practice. I have vast knowledge and experience working with teenagers and adults on an individual basis who are displaying symptoms of or are diagnosed with depression, anxiety, trauma, and attention deficit disorders, among other diagnoses. In addition, I have a great passion for working with and empowering children and families who are or have been affected in some capacity by alcohol and/or drug addictions.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My therapeutic style is strengths based and solution focused, providing a safe and non-judgmental environment for teenagers and adults alike. I understand that beginning therapy can sometimes feel overwhelming or uncomfortable, but I believe therapy is a collaborative process and I value working alongside clients at a pace that feels comfortable and empowering. I truly enjoy helping people set goals, solve problems and create positive change in their lives; I look forward to working with you

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session will focus on building rapport and trust, exploring what has brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from it. Together, we will identify your goals and create a personalized treatment plan that supports your growth and healing at a pace that feels right for you. I view therapy as a collaborative process, and I value your input every step of the way.
