Getting to know Rachel Durkee

I know firsthand what it’s like to feel stuck. Sometimes clients feel like they’re living the same day over and over, wanting change but unsure how to move forward. I believe each person has an innate drive toward healing, and that you are the expert on your own life who can bring about that change. My role is not to “fix,” but to walk alongside you—offering empathy and support as you explore your story and find healing at your own pace. Together, we can uncover your strengths, increase self-understanding, and remove the barriers that may be holding you back from living in alignment with your true self.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I have a culturally responsive approach and a particular passion for working with LGBTQIA+ individuals, women, and children. I specialize in healing generational trauma, survivors of sexual assault and gender-based violence, parenting issues, children, and teens.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

First I will gather your history, cultural background, and learn more about you. Then we will create mutually agreed-upon goals. From there, I will guide you through whichever therapy modalities align with you, teach you coping skills, help you re-align with your values, and reclaim joy.
