Please note: Your first appointment will be a brief consultation call rather than a full therapy session. This gives us a chance to discuss what you're looking for, determine whether we are a good fit, answer any initial questions, and if appropriate get you scheduled for your first full session. I’m Rachel Eduardo, LMHC-D, a therapist with five years of experience in the mental health field. I earned my degree in Mental Health Counseling from Mercy University in 2021. I began her career working with children and now provide compassionate care to individuals across the lifespan, from children to older adults. I take a person-centered approach to counseling, creating a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where my clients feel heard and empowered. I support individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, life transitions, relationship concerns, and issues affecting members of the LGBTQ+ community. I tailor treatment to each client's unique experiences, strengths, and goals while incorporating evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Depending on your interests and comfort level, I may also incorporate art, role-playing, inner child work, and mindfulness into sessions. Through collaboration and compassion, my goal is to help you develop effective coping skills, improve your emotional well-being, and move forward on your paths toward healing.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and judgment-free space where you feel comfortable being yourself. I understand that starting therapy can feel overwhelming, and I believe that building a trusting relationship is an important part of the healing process. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship challenges, or life transitions, we’ll work together to better understand your experiences and identify what matters most to you. I believe therapy should be collaborative, personalized, and guided by your individual needs, strengths, and goals. You deserve to feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout your journey.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work together begins with getting to know you, understanding what brings you to therapy, and exploring what you hope to gain from our sessions. We’ll work collaboratively to identify your goals and develop an approach that feels comfortable and meaningful to you. I incorporate evidence-based techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), while also drawing from mindfulness, creative activities, and other approaches depending on your needs and interests. As we continue, we’ll check in on your progress, celebrate growth, and adjust our approach as needed. My goal is to help you develop practical coping skills, strengthen your emotional well-being, and feel more confident navigating life’s challenges.
