Rachel Franquemont, LCMHC

Psychotherapist
NC
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate in NC. I work with adults, adolescents, and couples experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns. These include co-occurring disorders, relationship issues, eating disorders, substance use disorders, process addictions (i.e. food, sex, work), self-esteem, and trauma. I have experience working in different modalities including somatic therapy, experiential therapy, emotionally focused therapy, CBT and DBT. Prior to becoming a mental health therapist I worked as a Speech Language Pathologist primarily in the geriatric population. I gained valuable experience with working with people that have dementia, Parkinson's Disease, and those recovering from a stroke. I currently accept Medicare and have weekend availability. My intent in therapy is to help you identify and achieve your goals. This may be working through trauma, improving communication with your partner, setting boundaries with people in your life, among many other life's challenges. I believe person-centered care is essential, meaning that I work with you starting where you are today and what you want to address. I believe people have the capacity to to heal and grow to uncover their authentic selves.
