Rachel Greene, MA, LPC

Psychotherapist
525 S 4th St, Ste 471, Philadelphia, PA
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania and a Board-Certified Dance/Movement Therapist. I earned my Master's degree in Dance/Movement Therapy from Drexel University. I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and families of individuals on the Autism spectrum, as well as clients with ADHD, intellectual disabilities, trauma histories, and other behavioral challenges. I have also supported individuals of all ages and backgrounds facing a variety of clinical issues, including anxiety, self-esteem and identity concerns, self-care, anger management, emotional support, stress management, social skills and relationship-building, and life transitions. When working with children and adolescents, I begin by gathering comprehensive information about the presenting issue across multiple settings (e.g., school, home, community). I collaborate closely with caregivers to develop strategies and an individualized treatment plan that can be successfully implemented across environments. With adult clients, I provide a supportive space where individuals can gain insight, increase self-awareness, and identify obstacles to their happiness and well-being. My eclectic and creative approach to therapy allows for individualized treatment planning based on each client's strengths, challenges, and interests. I draw from a systems-based approach, mindfulness techniques, cognitive-behavioral therapy, relationship-based therapies such as person-centered therapy, and dance/movement therapy, which emphasizes the body-mind connection and the body's role as a key informant in supporting emotional awareness.
