What should a new client know about working with you?

I love working with people who are seeking to get in touch, or back in touch, with themselves. People I love working with: pet lovers, artists, people who ponder, and outdoor enthusiasts. Some of my favorite approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) (mixed with some mindfulness); Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT); Internal Family Systems (IFS); and finding creative or active outlets. I believe everybody has the ability to create a life they're proud of.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Whether you have a specific goal or are just thinking what change there could be, I am available to be a brainstormer and advocate. I'm wanting to walk the journey with you to find what is best suited for you and your life. Generally I like to have a short term and long term aspect of therapy sessions: how the week was and diving into the long term goals and processing. I often find that the long term and short term aspects are linked and it lets us explore together. Throughout our time together we work together to foster emotional awareness, mindfulness and coping/grounding skills, identifying strengths (because we can be our own worst critic) finding outlets as well as fostering the knowledge of capability.
