Rachel Kolodziej, LCSW

Rachel continued her education at the University of Louisville, where she obtained a Master’s of Science in Social Work with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2015. She holds licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in both Kentucky and Indiana, as well as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Indiana.
While treatment methods and interventions are important, Rachel believes change occurs within the therapeutic alliance. Creating a warm, safe, and understanding relationship is at the heart of a therapist’s role. Over her career, she has developed a deep appreciation for human resiliency and firmly believes that healing happens through relationships. Any meaningful relationship or dynamic in your life will be welcomed and explored in therapy. Rachel offers empathy for where you are in your journey and maintains positive regard for your strengths and attributes. She practices with genuineness while also therapeutically challenging you to move toward your goals and desires. Above all, she strives to build a strong bond with you, one grounded in trust and openness.
Outside of her clinical work, Rachel is a mother and wife. She enjoys spending time with her daughter, who loves the park, playing in sand, swimming, and creating art. Rachel also enjoys catching up with friends, photography and scrapbooking, watching period pieces, and shopping. She has a passion for writing and hopes to become a playwright one day.
