Psychotherapist
TX
Hello, I am Rachel Marshall, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas. I hold a Master of Education (MEd) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University. I am Board Certified with the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) as a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and am also a Master Certified Professional Coach (MCPC). My approach I offer counseling from a Christian faith perspective. You were created to overcome everything thrown at you! I provide therapeutic interactions tailored to clients' needs, histories, perspectives, and goals using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Person-centered Therapy (PCT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), or a combination of these modalities. I am training to become a Certified Complex Trauma Treatment Professional. I am familiar with Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). My focus I am passionate about supporting people’s spiritual, psychological, emotional, and behavioral well-being—addressing the whole person. I welcome individual clients (pre-teens and older) experiencing high stress and anxiety, with a history of trauma, and ready to change. Couples and families of any age are also welcome. My communication style I have an interactive communication style. My primary goal is to help clients feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for by establishing a strong therapeutic relationship. I provide extensive psychoeducation because I believe most people can do better and feel better when they understand that better is an option. My journey to therapy I have a history of Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (C-PTSD). While seeking healing, I encountered many therapists who either did not know how to help me or could not connect quickly enough for me to continue beyond three sessions. I endeavor to be the help to others that I was searching for myself.
