Psychotherapist

Many people come to therapy feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure why certain patterns in their lives keep repeating. You may struggle with anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, perfectionism, or relationship challenges. Therapy offers a space to slow down, reflect, and begin to understand yourself in a deeper and more compassionate way. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where you can feel comfortable being your authentic self. I believe that everyone deserves a space where they feel heard, understood, and respected. In our work together, we will explore the experiences, beliefs, and patterns that shape how you see yourself and interact with the world around you. Often, the way we interpret ourselves, other people, and our relationships develops early in life. These interpretations can become deeply ingrained and influence how we respond to challenges as adults. The good news is that these narratives are not fixed. Through therapy, we can begin to identify the beliefs that may be holding you back and work toward developing new perspectives that feel more empowering, hopeful, and aligned with the life you want to create. My approach is collaborative and tailored to each individual. Together, we will identify your goals, develop practical tools to manage difficult emotions, and build insight into the patterns that affect your well-being. I strive to balance meaningful reflection with concrete strategies that you can apply in your daily life. You don’t have to figure everything out on your own. Therapy can be a place for growth, healing, and meaningful change, and I would be honored to support you on that journey.

What should a new client know about working with you?

The most important part of therapy is our relationship. I believe people grow best when they feel safe, understood, and genuinely connected to the person they’re working with. My goal is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are—whether that means feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, confused, hopeful, or unsure where to begin. Clients often find that my style balances warmth with thoughtful challenge. Therapy is not just about talking through problems; it’s about exploring patterns, gaining insight, and actively working toward change. At times that work can feel uncomfortable, but it can also be incredibly empowering. My role is to support you through that process while helping you stay curious about yourself rather than critical. While we may talk about serious and meaningful topics, therapy doesn’t have to feel heavy all the time. Humor and lightness can be an important part of the process. Many clients are surprised by how often laughter naturally shows up in sessions, even when discussing difficult experiences. Being able to hold both depth and lightness often makes the work feel more human and sustainable. I view therapy as a collaborative process. We will work together to understand the beliefs, experiences, and patterns that influence how you see yourself and the world around you. From there, we can begin identifying new ways of thinking, responding, and relating that feel more aligned with the life you want to build. My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you feel both supported and motivated—a space where you can be honest, do meaningful work, and occasionally laugh along the way. Growth doesn’t require perfection. It simply requires a willingness to show up and explore.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work together begins with an intake session focused on understanding what brings you to therapy at this time, the challenges you may currently be facing, and the goals you hope to achieve. I will also ask about your personal history, relationships, and important life experiences, as these often provide valuable context for understanding patterns that may be showing up in the present. Once we have a clearer picture of your concerns and priorities, therapy becomes a collaborative process focused on insight, growth, and meaningful change. Sessions often involve exploring your thoughts, emotions, and reactions to situations in your daily life. Together, we will look for patterns in how you relate to yourself, others, and the world around you, and begin to understand how these patterns developed over time. A key part of the process is developing greater awareness and compassion toward your own internal experiences. When we better understand the beliefs and assumptions that shape our behavior, we gain more freedom to respond differently. Therapy can create space to question long-standing narratives and begin building perspectives that feel more aligned with the life you want to live. In addition to reflection and insight, I also incorporate problem-solving skills that clients can apply outside of sessions. This might include developing healthier coping skills, improving communication, managing stress or anxiety more effectively, or learning new ways of responding to difficult emotions. The goal is not only to gain insight during our conversations, but also to help those insights translate into real-life change. Each session is guided by your needs. Some meetings may focus on immediate challenges you are navigating, while others may explore deeper themes or patterns that influence your well-being. Over time, many clients find that therapy helps them develop stronger self-awareness, emotional resilience, and a greater sense of clarity and direction in their lives.
