Cognitive Therapy helps provide the tools necessary to uncover the distorted thoughts and self-defeating beliefs that rob us of joy and create needless suffering. I would love the opportunity to work with you to help you gain a more healthy balanced perspective of yourself and life. I am passionate about collaborating with clients to help them develop healthy coping mechanisms in order to overcome life stressors and enjoy better mental health and emotional balance. I believe in providing therapy that focuses on creating a strong therapeutic relationship using compassion and empathy. Additionally, teaching clients how to remain focused on the here and now with the use of mindfulness and meditation. I obtained my education from Stony Brook University and currently practice therapy as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am currently working towards my certification with the Academy of Cognitive Therapy. I have completed trainings in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with The Beck Institute and Trial-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy at Columbia School of Social Work. I have experience working with individuals from all ages on a wide range of issues relating to anxiety, depression, PTSD/trauma, relationship issues and other difficult life transitions. Additionally, I have over 10 years of experience in Applied Behavior Analysis working with special populations across the life span such as Autism Spectrum Disorder.
