What should a new client know about working with you?

I love working with clients who want to put in the work outside of therapy. Therapy is not easy, but as long as the common denominator is consistency, then the mindset will be able to focus on the positivity. I believe in working together with my clients towards the goals set in the first session. Rachel’s style of therapy is informal, compassionate, and responsive to each person’s unique needs. She will guide you to explore your concerns and build greater understanding of the different aspects of your experience, from the emotional, mental, and physical to the family, social, cultural, and spiritual dimensions. Using a variety of evidence-based techniques, she will help you reconnect to existing strengths and cultivate additional resources that support progress toward the changes you wish to make.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Rachel Morris is the founder and CEO of Advanced Change. She first started her journey with receiving her bachelor’s in 2006, majoring in Psychology at Sam Houston State University, and her masters in Counseling in 2013 from Prairie View A&M University. With a background of working as a teacher and a school counselor, she has experience with working within the community, with students, parents, and educational staff members. Rachel worked in several leadership roles prior to leaving the educational field to focus on her practice. Since then, she has worked towards her LPC-S, EMDR trained, and CART certification.
