Dr. Rachel Nielsen, PsyD

Psychotherapist
CO
I am the president of Nielsen Psychological Services, an outpatient behavioral health care organization, specializing in individual and couples therapy related to trauma, anxiety, grief and loss, and violence prevention. I have 28 years of experience addressing trauma, stress, childhood abuse, physical and sexual violence, high-stress jobs and emergency services, identity and self-esteem, anxiety and depression, child loss, losing a loved one to suicide, and posttraumatic healing and recovery. I am here for the typical life struggles that people face - I can handle the heavy stuff. I love working with adolescents, teens, and adults. I believe people are much more resilient than they may recognize, and yet, sometimes the ways we have approached other challenges are just not working for us. I love partnering with people to help resolve those sticking points. A shift here and there can make all the difference in the world. All are welcome here and I'm here for you. Working with people going through difficult transitions, facing complex situations or losses, and working through past harms is an honor. I am compassionate, easy to read, transparent, direct, and invested in helping people come out stronger on the other side.
