The ideal client wants to learn new ways of looking at their world in order to bring meaning and peace to their life. I will work with clients to stay in the present and recognize the thoughts that are triggering certain emotions and feelings. We will set goals at the beginning and look at the progress through the therapy journey to see how we are progressing or not progressing and why. We will think about what thoughts and behaviors are "keeping us stuck" in dysfunctional patterns. Using unconditional positive regard, we will learn to increase our capabilities to give ourselves grace and to allow for our imperfections.
