Getting to know Rachel Sobiech

Hello! My name is Rachel. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s in Social Work from the University of South Florida. I specialize in gender and sexuality, trauma healing utilizing EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and addiction recovery, working with adolescents and adults. Coming out, transitioning, and discovering who you are can be a difficult process on its own. On top of that, there may be fear of or experiences with discrimination, harassment, prejudice, denial of rights, or family rejection. Maybe you’ve lost friends or family, been turned away from using a restroom, refused services, physically assaulted, or simply can’t shake the hurtful words people have said. Whatever the situation, YOU are left cleaning up the aftermath. This can be scary, especially if you don’t have anyone to help you through the healing process. Let an unbiased expert walk with you every step of the way. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community living life as my authentic self, I have found passion in providing support and guidance to others within the population, including family, friends, and allies. I help individuals discover their true identities and assist in overcoming obstacles that may come across their path on the journey.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Rachel is very thoughtful and doesn't force you to talk about painful memories. She is the first therapist that I have continued to see because of this. She has a very comforting presence. I highly recommend her for anyone with PTSD or anxiety issues.
