Rachel Taggart, LICSW

Psychotherapist
RI
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in FL and RI. I offer a warm, holistic, and trauma-informed approach to therapy. I work with individuals who are navigating life transitions, exploring identity issues, or feeling the lingering effects of traumatic experiences. My approach I offer a warm, holistic environment where the whole person, mind, body, and spirit are explored. My approach is collaborative, curious, and caring in nature. My intention is to work at a pace that feels right for you, helping you process past experiences, addressing current struggles, to help you reconnect more wholly with yourself. My focus My focus is on adolescents and adults struggling with the lingering effects of trauma. I work with individuals struggling with low self-esteem, self-doubt, depression, anxiety, nightmares, avoidance, hypervigilance, mood swings, anger, and/or feeling numb and disconnected from the world around them. My communication style My communication style is empowering, empathetic, heart-centered, and direct. I aim to create a safe environment where open, honest, and transparent communication can take place. My journey to mental healthcare When I found the field of social work in college, there was no looking back. I have always been passionate about helping people and found exactly that within this field. Since getting my master's degree in 2018 and beginning to provide therapy, I have purpose and meaning in helping people heal from traumatic experiences and mental health struggles. My goals for you I see therapy as a collaborative process where we will identify goals that matter most to you. Sometimes when we first come to therapy, we may be totally lost and not know what our goals are. That is okay, and normal when our lives feel out of control. Together, we will take it one breath at a time to identify a starting place.
