Psychotherapist

I specialize in OCD and use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the most effective, evidence-based treatment for OCD. Beyond our sessions, you'll have access to ongoing support when you need it most, including direct messaging, support groups, and real-time help when OCD symptoms spike My approach to treating OCD begins with sitting with a member to gain a deep understanding of the struggle he or she is facing. The member and I then develop a plan and set obtainable, realistic goals. After establishing these baselines, we begin Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to help minimize and alleviate the symptoms of OCD. It's an honor to empower people and shed light on a new way of healing. My areas of focus include depression, anxiety, marital conflict and relationship tune-ups, grief, trauma, adolescent adjustment concerns, and family counseling. How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy By not rushing things. Making sure that you feel understood is absolutely my top priority. I'll keep you on track with ERP, but sometimes it's helpful to just be present and let people know that somebody is sitting with them through whatever distress they're experiencing in the moment. My personal connection to OCD and mental health I do have some OCD themes that tend to bubble up, so I can identify with my Members on a professional and personal level, which I think is helpful for me and for them. What my Members say helps them feel comfortable with me My empathy and validation. I'm able to put myself in your shoes and understand the distress you feel. The most meaningful feedback I've received was... When a Member who was going through a very tough time with intrusive thoughts said that he felt like I had helped him more than any other therapist had ever helped him.
