Rachelle Ramos, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Rachelle! My name is Rachelle Ramos (LMFT149942). I have a Master of Science degree in Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy from San Diego State University. I belong to the LGBTQIA+ community as a queer, genderqueer, they/them femme individual. I am an active advocate for those who belong to sex and gender-marginalized communities through my social justice work outside of therapy. I have worked in sex education for over 7 years. My approach Narrative therapy and Internal Family Systems are my key modalities. These are both client-centered and system frameworks. My focus I welcome clients from diverse walks of life, embracing different neurotypes and lifestyles that include, but are not limited to-ADHD, AuHD, Autism, ethical non-monogamy, kink, and different gender expressions. My communication style I would describe my therapy room as warm, collaborative, and curious. My journey to mental healthcare I first became a therapist when I saw many community members in the LGBTQIA+ and sex-positive communities having difficulty finding therapists they felt accepted by. Becoming a therapist was my way of giving back to my community, and I hope to provide nonjudgmental and welcoming support to those who belong to marginalized communities. My goals for you It's essential to capture the client's voice and hopes when setting their goals for therapy. I invite clients to explore what they are longing for regarding outcomes in the therapeutic process. My first session with you The first session is an opportunity for clients and myself to get a sense of fit. I'll acknowledge that we are both strangers, but I want clients to come out of a therapy session feeling that my approach resonates with their process and that they feel good about it.
