Getting to know Racquel Johnson
Hello, I'm Racquel. With 13 years of experience, I have dedicated my career to working with a diverse range of individuals, focusing on children, adolescents, young adults, and families. I can assist with a wide range of issues or concerns such as anxiety, depression, emotion regulation, developing healthy coping strategies, relationships, and life transitions. My goal is to help you discover your authentic self. I use a holistic relational approach with several research-based interventions, including CBT, DBT, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I am also trained in various trauma-based interventions, including TF-CBT and EMDR.
I earned a master's in Counseling and Human Development in 2011 and my doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision in 2021 from Lindsey Wilson College. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor-Supervisor (LPCC-S). I have worked in several different settings, including community mental health, outpatient therapy, crisis intervention, and therapeutic foster care.
