Rajaa Laaribi, AMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
I decided to become a therapist because mental health wasn’t something openly talked about in my family or community—it was often seen as a taboo. I wanted to change that, not just for my loved ones but for others who may feel the same. In college, I went through one of the lowest points in my life, and therapy truly helped me get back on my feet. Learning healthy coping skills gave me hope, and now I feel passionate about walking alongside others as they navigate their own life challenges. The provider is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and is currently working under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. Their current employer is Foresight Mental Health.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My priority is to make sure you feel heard and understood. In our first sessions, I take time to learn what’s most important to you—your goals, your background, and the kind of support that feels helpful. I approach therapy in a client-centered way, meaning we go at your pace and focus on what matters most to you. I also value understanding your culture and the ways you connect in relationships, so the space we create together feels safe, personal, and truly supportive of your growth.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I believe trust grows when you know your voice matters and your values are at the center of our work. I’ll take time to listen deeply, reflect back what I hear, and make sure your goals guide our sessions. I build trust by showing up consistently, being transparent, and creating a safe, nonjudgmental space. Therapy isn’t about me telling you who to be, it’s about us working together so you feel understood, supported, and empowered to move toward the version of yourself you want to become.
