Getting to know Ralph A Weiss

Welcome. I have been a continuously practicing licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California since 2000 and a training supervisor since 2006. My experience spans high acuity nonprofit community/team-based settings, adolescent residential programs, outpatient clinics, and private practice. I have clinically supervised and trained many clinician interns and non-clinical staff. My training interests include Primal Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, IMAGO Relationship Therapy, and more recently, Psychodynamic/Psychoanalytic Therapy. I work with thoughts, feelings, and the body, believing that integration of all three is essential. I believe trauma resolution occurs when connection to the original source happens, particularly when early needs such as safety, protection, and response are felt within the safety of the therapy relationship and room.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
