Getting to know Ralph DeMar

I have extensive experience in couples and marital therapy. I consider a comprehensive approach to every client I serve. I provide individual counseling for trauma-related and unresolved family of origin issues. I also have a particular focus on working with minority youth between the ages of 12 and 19 who have been involved with the juvenile justice system or need intervention to preclude them from entering the justice system. I specialize in the areas of depression, shame, and guilt. My approach is to assist the client in finding their own answers. I have a compassionate and realistic approach in reaching the client. My mission statement as a therapist is structure, vigilance, and strategy. I compel the client to reach for the core of their soul and also consider a spiritual aspect in the answer to every question and the solution to every problem. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Texas Southern University, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support my clients effectively.
