I specialize in working with individuals navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I use Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) as a base therapy, but I also have an eclectic therapy approach, meaning that I use multiple theoretical orientations and techniques from different theories and tailoring therapy for the individual in a unique way that fits their needs. My approach Each person is a unique individual, and their issues are also unique. We do not all respond to situations in the same way. As a therapist, I work with the belief that there is not one size fits all I use CBT, ACT, Trauma-focused CBT, and Solution-Focused Therapy. My focus I work well with adults who are struggling with understanding their emotions, reactions, negative thinking, and trouble communicating the way they would like. I will teach coping skills that can help a person feel calmer when overwhelmed and allow a person to gain some control over their reactions and communicate in a more productive way. My communication style I am a great listener, also when talking, I am a clear, open, and direct communicator, but also I am empathic, understanding, and non-judgemental. Everyone has their own story to tell, and it is important to be able to tell that story without interruptions or the fear of judgement. My journey to mental healthcare I was drawn to helping others due to people who were struggling in my area who had no one to talk to, and I didn't want people to feel isolated and alone.
