MD
Hello, my sincere greetings to all. My name is Raquel Martinez, and I am a bilingual (English and Spanish) Licensed Mental Health Clinician with over 15 years of experience working with individuals, families, children, adolescents, and elder populations. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Fordham University. I am currently working in a Mental Health Clinic as a Psychotherapist, specializing in depressive disorder, general anxiety, panic disorder, grief/bereavement counseling, disruptive behavior disorder, drug and alcohol addictions, domestic violence, parenting skills, issues with low self-esteem, cultural shock and adaptation, PTSD, and other severe mental health conditions that also require monitoring psychotropic medication compliance alongside psychotherapy. My passion in life is to help people regulate emotions and behaviors to live fuller and happier lives. My primary counseling work centers on the core of “emotions,” helping individuals develop cognitive abilities to break destructive behavioral habits. Additionally, my goal is to inspire individuals and share proven techniques to help them achieve a happier and more fulfilling life, both psychologically and emotionally.
