Getting to know Rashida Khan

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have been a therapist dedicated to supporting diverse communities for over a decade. I have experience working with teens, adults, and children. I strive with kindness, compassion, and respect, and look forward to collaborating on treatment together to achieve motivation and progress.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My theoretical orientation is evidence-based practices (ICBT), as an Individual Cognitive Behavioral Therapist.CBT helps you to understand and change negative thoughts and behaviors. It emphasizes the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and actions, enabling you to cope more effectively and make positive changes in your life. Provider is currently accepting commercial plans- Atena, United Health Care, Original Medicare, state administered Medical.Various dual eligible Medicare- Atena, United Health care, or Medicare- Medical (Medi-Medi) plans only. All appointments are subject to insurance eligibility verification. If coverage cannot be verified in time the visit may need to be rescheduled or paid out of pocket.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first session, we will build our therapeutic relationship and explore challenges that you would like to work on to build trust and safety. I believe in the importance of self-autonomy and will let you set the pace for your self-discovery. I will collaborate with you to alleviate any stressors that are impeding your success. From our very first session and throughout our course together, we will also develop a transition plan, so you are prepared with the necessary interventions to maintain your progress.

Rashida is always patient and kind! She makes me feel very comfortable and at peace during our sessions. Highly recommend!
I was told by the doctor on a call before my appointment that she had checked my insurance and it was accepted and my appointment would be covered, which was a complete lie. I was also told I would be assessed and diagnosed for adhd and have messages to prove this but when I called dr before the appointment she changed what she said and said it was only therapy. More lies again to try to get money for an appointment that was not what it was made out to be. Will not be using this service again due to false information given by doctors.
