“Overall is good chemistry, but the central Issue needs more focus, like Andrew needs to learn how to stop his game time and screen time. Often time he has difficulty controlling his screen time once he started playing games and can go on for hours on devices. ”

Getting to know Raven Malave

*This provider does not accept any Medicaid or Medicare plans* I am a queer Latinx professional with experience supporting clients through challenges such as interpersonal conflict, life transitions, depression, anxiety, intrusive thoughts, self-harm, and suicidal ideation. I focus on mindfulness and building a personalized “tool belt” of coping skills to empower you to feel confident and live your best life. I believe understanding and embracing identity is crucial, and I am dedicated to helping clients discover and become their true selves. Taking that first step might seem daunting, but it’s a meaningful stride toward the vision you hold for yourself. Let’s work together to achieve it. I strive to create a welcoming space where clients can share without judgment. Feeling seen is crucial; everyone deserves a safe space to express themselves. The world shames us enough-we don’t need more. I aim to bring joy and encourage healing through outlets like music or books. I love fantasy novels and believe laughter is the best medicine. You’ve started your journey-why not take the leap' You don’t have to face it alone. Together, we can explore your goals and vision for the future in a safe, non-judgmental space and build the skills to help you get there. As endorsed by Katie Parisi on Psychology Today: "Raven has a rare gift for creating a space where clients feel truly safe to express themselves-no judgment, just genuine care. Raven understands that the world can be harsh, and she counters it with kindness, humor, and an unwavering belief in the healing power of feeling seen. Anyone looking for someone who balances insight, warmth, and a little bit of magic would be lucky to work with Raven." Raven Malave has a Master of Arts in Social Work from CUNY Hunter College (Silberman School of Social Work). Raven is a Licensed Master Social Worker, LMSW 115457 at Cerebral. Supervised by Amanda Frudakis-Ruckel, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW 095449.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I have experience working with teens and young adults of all genders facing challenges like depression, anxiety, panic attacks, identity struggles, suicidal ideation, self-harm, and interpersonal conflicts. Navigating transitions like high school or college while learning about themselves and their place in the world can feel overwhelming, especially when other obstacles arise. My ideal client is ready to begin a meaningful journey toward self-discovery and personal growth.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I deeply believe in the power of genuineness and humility. I may not have all the answers—after all, we’re all human. Sometimes, we simply need a space to speak freely without fear of judgment. My goal is to create that safe, supportive space where you can explore and actualize a fulfilling life on your terms. With guidance and encouragement, I aim to empower you to take ownership of the therapeutic process, because you are capable and this space is yours.
