I'm so glad you have landed here. Whether this is your first time exploring counseling support or you've been seeing a counselor for years, WELCOME. Finding the right counselor can be overwhelming, so as you read along here, I hope you are able to see the ways we can work together. I am a 1st generation born-in-America, Palestinian, woman. I come from a large family and have played sports my whole life. These identities are important to me, and I imagine you may have some that are dear to you. In this space, identities are important, validated, and processed. While therapy involves a lot of processing and a lot of communication, it is also very much about unlearning and relearning parts of current and past selves and environments. Counseling can be messy, enlightening, and frustrating, but most of all, it is intended to feel rewarding to the body and soul. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Texas, San Antonio. You are the expert of your own experiences, so I will often ask you to turn inward for answers. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Sometimes, I'll metaphorically wrap you and your thoughts in a warm blanket, but at times I may be the one holding up the mirror you have been avoiding. Together, we will collaborate to ebb and flow with how we want this space to serve you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

During our time together, we will discuss the structure or the fluidity you may need. Especially when beginning therapy, it is important to share as much as you can for me to get insight into you- you can expect me to encourage you to keep sharing and keep digging deeper when we're together. You can also expect to feel safe when we are together and to expect that I will adhere to not only the values that I took an oath to uphold, but values that honor the dignity and worth of all people.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
