Hi there, I'm Ray! I am Ray Cammack, licensed in Idaho since 1999 as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I am experienced in treating a wide range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, grief/loss, substance use, and trauma. I have worked with individuals and families aged 3 to 97. My approach I primarily use a cognitive behavioral approach, supplemented with dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, moral reconation therapy, and integrate faith/spirituality when clinically appropriate. I am ethically grounded and provide client-centered, driven services. Ultimately, I aim to "work myself out of the job" by helping clients resolve the issues they seek help for. My focus I have treated individuals and families across a broad age range. I work well with those motivated to create and maintain change, and when motivation is lacking, I help foster the belief in the need for change. I am most comfortable working with families and couples, though I also connect effectively with individuals without family involvement. My communication style I believe individuals and families thrive when they feel heard and understood. I strive to create an environment of mutual respect and understanding, avoid judgment, and support the development of forgiveness and grace. My journey to mental healthcare As a stepfather to a challenging teen, I sought a "better way" to address ADHD and Bipolar Mood. After retiring from the US Air Force, I earned a graduate degree in counseling/education and forged a meaningful path to help individuals and families navigate their difficulties.
