Getting to know Ray Radeka

Hi, my name is Ray Radeka, LCSW, CATC IV. I am a US Navy Veteran and a strength-based, solution-focused, compassionate, empathetic, intersectional therapist. I was born and raised in Southern California and attended California Baptist University, where I earned my Master's in Social Work. My life experiences on every level have motivated and prepared me to become a therapist. I have been in the mental health and substance abuse field for 11 years, with 8 of those years working as a Drug and Alcohol counselor specializing in co-occurring disorders-helping individuals diagnosed with both a mental health disorder and a drug or alcohol addiction. For the past 3 years, I have been practicing as a Clinical Therapist. My experience includes working with patients who suffer from drug and alcohol addiction, mood disorders, veterans with severe mental illness, PTSD, co-occurring disorders, and marginalized groups coping with symptoms of bipolar disorder, depression, and anxiety. My clinical approach leans toward CBT, DBT, strength-based, and solution-focused therapy.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Ray has been a life saver and I only wish I met him earlier in life.
All the qualities above could apply to Ray. He is the real deal as a therapist. Very warm! Welcoming. Organic. He feels like a great place to land in turbulent times, both personally and from a world view.
I would add “warm” and “authentic” above. I feel very comfortable with Ray and I am excited to have his guidance in my healing!
I find Ray's use of humor, whether direct or indirect, useful in disarming my otherwise defensive thought process and responses. I also appreciate Ray's methods to challenge my thinking process and assist me in exploring deeper understandings of my overall emotions and behaviors.
Ray is exactly what I needed. He is direct and doesn’t sugar coat my problems. We get directly to the issues and solve them. He is amazing!!!!!
Ray has a unique capacity as he listens to you to determine what healthy approaches need to take place for your personal growth. He’s pretty bad ass.
Ray is an awesome, responsive therapist!
