Rebeca Meyer, LPC

Psychotherapist
TX
Hello, I'm Rebeca. I graduated from Wellesley College with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Latin American Studies in 2006. My journey into mental health began as an academic counselor working with at-risk youth, which sparked my passion for helping others navigate their mental health challenges. This led me to pursue a master's degree in Biblical Counseling, during which I completed internships with Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship church and a non-profit agency handling CPS cases. I also gained valuable experience working with the chronic pain population. Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with a diverse array of clients in various clinical settings, preparing me to address life's deepest issues, including trauma, borderline personality disorder, anxiety, and depression. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process where we work together to develop skills that can change your life, accept life's challenges when necessary, and use wisdom in everyday decisions. Emotions and daily struggles can often feel overwhelming, leading to patterns of behavior that are difficult to break. Through deep processing, emotion regulation skills, mindfulness, distress tolerance skills, and consistent practice, we can manage depression, anxiety, and many other underlying mental health conditions. For my Spanish-speaking clients, I have experience supporting individuals with depression, anxiety, trauma, and bipolar disorder. As a Latina, I understand that cultural knowledge is an integral part of mental health treatment. I welcome the opportunity to help motivated clients develop the skills they need to navigate their mental health journey. If you're ready to take the first step towards managing your mental health, I'm here to support you every step of the way.
