Psychotherapist
MD
Hi There, I’m Rebecca, founder of IWTW. I am an African-American military family member who migrated from Germany. Long walks, spending time with nature, and HIIT workouts are my therapy. I can’t go without coffee. I love watching my children grow! I enjoy all kinds of books and all kinds of food. On the surface, it may seem like I have it all together, therapist and all… but I don’t. I am human, just like you. I don’t always get my workouts in, I stay up late and may feel moody the next day, and I let my children watch TV and eat fast food because sometimes, that’s just the way it goes. Yet, I’m a licensed professional counselor with a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Loyola University Maryland, and I always show up for my family and friends. I love working with First Responders and young professional men and women struggling with anxiety or trauma. Watching you grow and bounce back from your experiences is meaningful to me. I have first-hand experience of struggling with events that have left a lasting negative impact, and I know what it’s like when your mind and body seem all over the place.
