My name is Rebecca Boardman, and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), who has been working as a therapist, with a variety of clients, for the last 12 years. My approach My therapy style is interactive, and client centered. My therapeutic approach consists of Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral (DBT), Impact, Gestalt, and Solution Focused along with therapeutic techniques and activities, based on individual needs, to help you to achieve your goals. I am straightforward but also empathetic to the needs of my clients. If you are ready and able to commit to taking the first step, we can work together to help you to achieve a happier and more fulfilling life through a commitment towards change. My focus As a therapist it is my goal to provide compassion, understanding, and support without discrimination, stigmatization, and or judgement. I have worked effectively with clients who are dealing with Addiction, ADHD, Anxiety, Anger, Bipolar, Career Challenges, Depression, Domestic Violence, Medical Issues/Diagnoses, Parenting Problems, PTSD, Stress, Trauma, and Weight Loss. Your struggle is real no matter how difficult or what others may think is not important. My communication style I am here to support and empower you throughout the therapy process. Building a therapeutic alliance with my clients is a must to encourage trust so that my clients are able to be open and honest about what they have or what they are experiencing in their lives. I am open and non-judgmental which has allowed me to connect with a variety of clients which enables an alliance that is very helpful in meeting client needs.
