What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients can expect to take away a personalized and supportive experience from sessions with me. I believe in creating a safe and non-judgmental space where individuals can explore their thoughts, emotions, and challenges freely, enabling them to identify their own unique goals. During our sessions, clients will gain valuable insights into their feelings and behaviors, allowing them to develop a deeper understanding of themselves. Together, we will work collaboratively to identify their strengths and areas for growth, empowering them to make positive changes in their lives. I tailor my therapeutic approach to meet the unique needs and goals of each client, drawing from evidence-based practices and my diverse experiences as a school psychologist, licensed professional counselor, and licensed mental health counselor. Through a combination of compassionate listening, psychoeducation and skill-building exercises, clients will learn coping strategies to navigate life's challenges more effectively. Ultimately, my aim is to help clients tap into their natural resilience, enhance their emotional well-being, and foster a sense of empowerment to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Today was just my first appointment but Dr. Comizio was super friendly. It’s clear she knows her stuff and I really appreciate how she takes the time to explain things. I felt very comfortable and look forward to working with her more.
