Getting to know Rebecca Crumpley

I believe all people have a story to tell, and we all benefit when we have someone who listens to our stories and supports us through the rocky narrative that is life. With a Master's in Clinical Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis, I bring both education and empathy to our work together. Through reflection and introspection into your unique story, we will build skills such as resiliency, self-esteem, and self-advocacy, while working toward your personal goals. Put simply, my main objective is to help you become the best version of yourself and provide you with the tools needed to continue growing even after our work together ends.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I work from both a strengths perspective and through a trauma lens, while incorporating treatment modalities that are specific to each person’s needs. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy are all modalities I pull from to incorporate into my practice depending on what’s best for you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Everyone’s story is unique, and as such your treatment goals and sessions should reflect your individual needs. We will work together throughout our sessions, and I will always meet you where you are at while simultaneously helping to guide you in the direction of personal growth and healing. I look forward to supporting you on your mental wellness journey!

Rebecca has been in my corner for so long; I'm honored to leave her a review. She is kind, empathetic, very intelligent, and always collaborative. I appreciate her style grace as a therapist. If I had known her when therapist shopping 10 years ago in Chicago who knows how far along i'd be now in my anxiety/depression/OCD. Needless to say, I highly recommend her.
I am thrilled to give a review for my therapist, Rebecca Crumpley. Why? Because out of 6 previous therapists in the Chicago (and even Illinois!) region, she was the first to ask HOW she could help me rather than TELLING me how thy could help me. Working with her on my postpartum PTSD has been well thought out, insightful, and immensely beneficial to my mental health. If you are looking for someone in the postpartum space, look no further
Rebecca is a wise soul, and an incredible counselor. I felt heard from our first session. Many sessions in I would reflect on advice she had given me on how to cope with grief from losing a loved one. That wound will never fully heal but I now feel I have the strength to work towards happiness, all because of Rebecca.
Long time patient of Rebecca's and am honored to write her a review. She has been a ballast through my difficulties with pregnancy. I don't think I would have found success getting pregnant or treating the adjacent depression that came with repeated false positives.
Rebecca was attentive and respectful of my time. She was always prompt to answer emails and arrived on time for sessions. She is also very kind and knowledgeable. I found working with her to be very helpful.
Rebecca was very kind, attentive, knowledgeable and was easy to talk to. She is very quick to respond to any inquiries I had and promptly answers emails.
