Psychotherapist
IL
I am committed to providing a space where every human receives respect, compassion, validation, honesty, and the ability to be their authentic self. I received my Masters in Social Work from the University of Illinois Chicago and have since received my clinical licensure (LCSW). I have had a deep passion for Social Work which started in my undergrad studying at Illinois State University. Throughout my career, I've worked with clients to help them achieve confidence, self-worth, and self-compassion during some very difficult life phases. I have worked in a variety of community mental health roles providing therapy, crisis intervention, grief/loss support, and psycho-education all within a person-centered and trauma-informed lens. I have experience working with clients on trauma and stress related issues, anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, personality disorders, psychotic disorders, bipolar and related disorders, self-harm, suicidality, co-occurring mental health disorders, substance use, ADHD, chronic illness, chronic pain, and difficult life transitions. I am passionate about helping my clients gain the tools to navigate life through evidenced-based practices. The modalities that I provide are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) within my work. In my personal life, I enjoy walks/hikes, playing cards and board games with my friends and family, going to concerts, and learning new tricks to teach my dog.
