Hi, I’m Rebecca Dominguez, a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI) in Florida. I earned my Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Florida International University in July 2023, where I received extensive clinical training in evidence-based therapeutic approaches. I also completed my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at FIU in 2018, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a 3.71 GPA and earning membership in the Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology. Throughout my graduate training, I gained hands-on experience working with individuals from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, providing counseling support for anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, academic stress, and self-esteem challenges. My clinical experience includes conducting comprehensive assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, facilitating individual therapy sessions, and collaborating with clients to create meaningful, achievable goals. I have experience working with adolescents and adults, and I am especially passionate about helping clients navigate identity development, emotional regulation, stress management, and relationship dynamics. My approach is warm, supportive, and collaborative. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel truly heard and understood. I draw from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques.
